Beginning Again

I'm starting again with counting the gifts He's given me.

Sometimes I just need to "begin again", and make a fresh new start.

I have a new journal awaiting a few flourishes, and I have determined to be more deliberate with my gratitude journal and with giving thanks in community this year.


Thou hast given so much to me,

Give one thing more, - a grateful heart;

Not thankful when it pleaseth me,

As if Thy blessings had spare days,

But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.

Gifts discovered today:

new mercies for this day, oh how i need them!

Robin perched on a chair in the backyard

sunshine streaming through the kitchen window

snapdragons providing indoor fun for little ones stuck inside with a cough

signs of life outside - green shoots from some type of bulb... will have to wait and see what blooms there

seeds to plant in our community/ministry garden

daily bread

red and pink construction paper hearts- a love gift from a little Love

soup stock simmering on the stovetop

children singing

baby sleeping on my lap while I read from our current stack of books

possibility- for with God, all things are possible ...
