On my mind 8/26/11

Fall is in the air this morning, and soon it will be time to pot up the tender herbs like the two basils on my kitchen windowsill.  These were rooted in water (right there on that same windowsill) from cuttings, and will hopefully provide a few tasty leaves for the soup pot during the fall and winter months.
As the heat of summer hangs on and on ..... Fall is on my mind these days!

Summer Day Blessings

"Dirty hands, iced tea, garden fragrances thick in the air and a blanket of color before me, who could ask for more?"               ~ Bev Adams, Mountain Gardening

Scents of summer here- basil, dill, lemon verbena ... delightful.
