The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...cool Autumn breezes, misty rain, leaves turning shades of gold, orange, and crimson.
I am thinking...I hope we get moved into our new nest in time for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for...a peaceful morning at home.

From the learning rooms...Bob books, Zoo Math, The Borrowers Avenged, Learning Language Arts through Literature, The Easy Spanish, and others.

From the kitchen...Cherry Crisp and Turkey Chili

I am wearing...A well-worn, and well-loved denim dress, hair gathered in a loose pony-tail, bare feet which will soon find their way into cream-colored knitted slippers.

I am creating...I am attempting to learn to knit, once again. I also have a very long list of sewing projects that I have yet to begin.

I am going...nowhere today, playdate and library tomorrow.

I am reading...Reflections of God's Holy Land

I am hoping...to get my To Do list completed for once.

I am hearing...children giggling and splashing in the bathtub, sounds of mixing and stirring from the kitchen.

Around the house...boxes both packed and not yet packed, a desk that needs clearing.

One of my favorite things...tea!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Declutter my bedroom, pack up everything except daily essentials in preparation for our move.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...from our visit to the Fall garden yesterday:

"I know there are some beans in here somewhere!"

Your garden is beautiful! It sounds it you're going to be my "new" knitting friend since you're also a beginner.
